The AF Christmas Gift Guide 2020

When we started working on the AF Christmas Gift Guide for 2020 we had no idea that for so many the holidays would be turned upside down. And so, whilst more than anything we hope everyone stays safe, we still wanted to whisk you away on a little #accessFASHIONdaydreams journey with us. The team have put together their ultimate Christmas Wish List. We hope there’s a little inspiration for yourself or a loved one. And Santa, if you’ve got any Elves working in our Tiers, we hope you get the link.

Sabina Emrit Harper, Founder & Editor | Christmas Wish List

“This has been such a weird year for all of us, and for me personally it’s been full of so many highs, yet the virus has just brought about so many lows. With the latest announcement (with I’m sure more to come), I’ve often found putting this list together a little insensitive. However, we are also all in need of a little escapism. We hope you enjoy our picks. And above all else we hope you have a safe, healthy and happy Christmas…”

accessfashion Christmas Wish List
  1. 1. Cire Trudon Classique Candle
  2. I was gifted my very first Cire Trudon candle at a Harrods Christmas event years ago and have been a fan ever since. With a history rooting back to 1643, Cire Trudon candles filled the Royal Court of Louis XIV, and the bedrooms of Marie Antoinette and Napoleon. Their scents are bold and rich and one for the avid fragrance lover. As timing would have it, I’ve just run out of my last Odalisque. If you’re new to Cire Trudon I highly recommend you smell them first to find your favourites. The Classique Candle is available from Cire Trudon 270g for £75
  1. 2. Horse Riding at Coworth Park’s Equestrian Centre
  2. I’ve been riding since I was 12 and going to Coworth Park for almost a decade. Their Equestrian Centre is easily my favourite in the world. It would be the absolute dream to have lessons with them once or twice a week, and even better to be able to have my own horse stabled there. The grounds are breathtaking and it’s such an escape from everyday life. It’s also one of the reasons we were encouraged to move out of London. Coworth feels like a bit of home in the middle of nature and I truly hope 2021 lets us spend more time there. Private lessons start at £65.
  3. 3. Malachite PopSockets
  4. I got myself the new iPhone 12 Max Pro as an early Christmas present and I love it, but my god it’s huge! I use my phone a lot for work and it’s actually really uncomfortable to hold so my next thought was a PopSockets attachment. I’ve had so many over the years but when I saw the Malachite option my heart skipped a beat. I love crystals and Malachite is known as a protection stone that removes negative energies, aligned to the heart chakra. The green is stunning and it’s like a piece of art. I’m all for anything that looks that beautiful and promotes loving and healing energy so I would love to find this under the tree. Available online for £84.99
  5. 4. Fendi Reversible Cape
  6. I tried on a variety of Fendi ponchos and this is my favourite. I’m a sucker for a statement logo, but I also love that it’s reversible to plain black too. You can find it online at NET-A-PORTER for £1450
  7. 5. A Promised Land by Barack Obama
  8. I love reading but as you might know am trying to be mindful and finish the books I have yet to read before buying any more. (Check out Bini’s Book Club for what’s coming in 2021). But oh my do I want to get my hands on a copy of this! I love that it was a Bestseller before it was even released. Currently £25 at Waterstones
  9. 6. Mateo ‘S’ Ring

  1. 7. Bird’s Leather Bum Bag
  2. I’m always keen to shop locally and Bird in Sunningdale is a truly wonderfully curated store. I wasn’t a fan of the bumbag when it hit as a streetwear trend but when I spotted this in the shop window it was added straight to my list. The simplicity and sleekness of the design stands out. And it’s such a practical alternative to a handbag when we’re all trying to stay safe. The Italian leather is super soft and the silver hardware gives it a luxe look for an amazing price. Available from itsbird.co.uk or via click and collect for £29.95
  3. 8. Ruinart Rosé Champagne – Second Skin Packaging
  4. Sustainable bubbles? Yes please! Ruinart have always been one of my favourite champagne houses. It’s served at every fashion party from Dior to Louis Vuitton and it’s so delicious. The rosé is an extra special treat. And when I heard about the new ‘second skin case’ that is fully recyclable and contains zero plastic waste I was thrilled to see the brand take a huge step forward with the design remaining sophisticated.
  5. The Second Skin Rosé can be purchased from Clos19 for £65
  6. 9. 2021 Smythson Diary
  7. Every year my husband gets me a Smythson diary. This year I got two would you believe. The intention was one for my desk and a pocket one for my bag as I had so many shoots and events booked in… Oh how quickly that all changed with the virus, so I’m definitely sticking to one for 2021. Smythson have more colours than ever before, but I think I’ll be asking for the Soho Diary in Black or Sandstone. Price £175
  8. 10. Limited Edition KitchenAid Mixer in Misty Blue
  9. We all went a little baking mad during the first lockdown however it left me wanting to brush up my baking skills with little help from KitchenAid. I love the Misty Blue as I think it would look perfect in our countryside kitchen and with the #cottagecore trend. However it’s definitely a splurge. Currently £599 from KitchenAid.co.uk

Sacha Williams, Editorial Assistant | Christmas Wish List

This Christmas is undoubtedly going to be different for most. For myself, I’ll be spending it with my family, enjoying a cosy day at home which I know makes us luckier than so many. We’ll share gifts, watch festive movies in our Christmas pjs and eat good food. Whilst this may sound cheesy, as long as I’m with my family and we’re all safe, then what is under the tree is not important. I’m just excited to have a day where we can relax and be glad that we got through this year. However I did have a lot of fun putting this list together and the House of Sunny Day Tripper Vol 2 is an item that ever since I first saw it, I’ve added to my wish list.

Evan Burrowes, Marketing Assistant | Christmas Wish List

After this awful year I hoped that Christmas would be the time to finally spend time with my family who I haven’t had a chance to see throughout the periods of lockdown. However, as this is sadly not going to be possible, I’m going to enjoy Christmas at home in Wales with my parents, brother and my favourite family member Hugo – our Hungarian Vizsla.
